One week from today! Join us for the Community Thanksgiving Meal cooked by the Culinary Arts class. There will be turkey and ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, sweet potatoes, wild rice casserole, cranberry molds, butternut squash, and rolls. All will be lovingly prepared by the best Culinary Arts class Mercer has ever seen. All are welcome!

Today, our Varsity and JV Academic Quiz Bowl teams competed at Gogebic College in their first matches of the season, showcasing their hard work, knowledge, and team spirit! We’re especially thrilled to announce that our JV team came out undefeated in their debut match, winning with confidence and teamwork! 🏆✨
Congratulations to all the students and coach Matt Hubenschmidt for their dedication and enthusiasm, and best of luck in the rest of the season! We’re so proud of you!

We had a Halloween Parade at school! Deklyn was a character from Fort Nite, Levlynn was Wednesday from the Addams Family and Ryder was Thomas the train from Thomas and Friends!

5th - 8th grade attended Mister C Live - Air is Everywhere performance at the Campanile Center in Minocqua. He is the creator/host of the regional Emmy®-nominated show “Full STEAM Ahead.” They were able to observe and interact with some amazing labs centered around exploring all things air!!

Culinary Arts visited the school forest yesterday and tried their hands at some outdoor cooking, including kabobs, bacon wrapped poppers, and a s'mores skillet that would've been perfect about five minutes before we pulled it off the fire. Special thanks to Ms. Amanda for all her help!

5th and 6th grade took a trip with to Van Vliet Hemlocks with Ms Hannah from Discovery center.




First and second graders wrote spooky Halloween sentences that had verbs, adjectives, and nouns. They then got to paint out their spooky scene!

The Kindergarten class, along with our friend Karen Watts, have a basket to raffle. Each raffle ticket is $1, or 6 for $5. Tickets are available at Morning Announcements for staff and students at or near the Kindergarten Breakfast table. Community members can get raffle tickets through the school office. The winning raffle ticket holder will be announced at the end of the Talent Show on October 23. Need not be present to win.
Basket includes: a large, smokey-glass skeleton, two candle holders with jeweled spiders, two jars of jam dressed as jack-o-lanterns (1 raspberry and 1 peach), two bags of Halloween candy, and a cute Halloween sign.
