A big thank you to our Culinary Arts students for the hours they spent creating a wonderful feast for community members. The Thanksgiving lunch was held Wednesday, November 20 at Mercer School. As one of the community members who attended, I can attest that it was delicious!

Today, we had a fascinating visit from Hannah Thorpe, a naturalist from the North Lakeland Discovery Center. 🌿🐾 The 5th and 6th graders engaged in hands-on exploration as part of their predator/prey research project. They learned about the role of animals in the ecosystem by examining their skulls. From sharp teeth to powerful jaws, they got a close-up look at the tools animals use to survive. Students asked great questions and made exciting discoveries about how predators and prey interact in nature. A huge thank you to Hannah and the Discovery Center for bringing these incredible specimens and knowledge to our classroom! 🦁🦴
