HELLO 5th and 6th Grade Artists!
Did I already say that I miss you? I'll say it again: I miss you!
Unfortunately, we won't get a traditional art show this year. The globes you guys were building out of clay and the plans you had for what was floating in the atmosphere were really exciting, but we're gonna have to toss all that out the window. Oh well!
In the coming weeks, we're going to launch a photography unit in this class. Some of you have a camera on your phone and others may need to borrow one, but we're going to start taking some pictures from our times at home. Keep a lookout in your email in the next couple days for your first photography assignment.
I also will post the assignment on this page for your class. In fact, this is the place for you to go for everything related to art class!!
For now, I want you to get in the groove of working on some drawings every day. I don't care what paper you use, and I don't care what media you have. Whatever's lying around!
A pencil? Sure!
A pen? Great?
Some charcoal? Awesome!
Crayon? I love crayon!
Use whatever you want to use and make me a drawing from one of the things on the "Things to Draw" link below.
Have someone in your family take a picture of your drawing and send it to me at cgriffin@mercertigers.org.
I will post the pictures that you create in a rotating photo gallery on the website.
I can't wait to see what you create!!
Once again, click the link below to look at the list of "Things to Draw." I'll be in touch.
Happy Drawing!
Mr. Griffin
